De La Salle Blackfeet School Welcomes New President Colleen A. Dunne, M. Div.
Burr Ridge, IL – The Christian Brothers of the Midwest proudly announce the appointment of Colleen A. Dunne, M. Div. as its next President of De La Salle Blackfeet School (DLSBS), a Lasallian institution serving the Blackfeet Nation for over 20 years, following the retirement of Brother Dale Mooney, FSC, whose steadfast leadership has shaped the school’s mission and impact.
A native Montanan and experienced Lasallian leader, Dunne brings a profound understanding of DLSBS’s unique mission. She previously served as the school’s Director of Development and has maintained close ties with the community and network. Her rich background in campus ministry, faith formation, mission integration, and strategic leadership at institutions like the University of Notre Dame and Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota, makes her exceptionally suited to lead DLSBS into its next chapter.
“I’m honored to return to this sacred mission,” Dunne shared. “The spirit of the Blackfeet community and the Lasallian commitment to faith, service, and education continue to inspire my vocation.”
The DLSBS community extends deep gratitude to Br. Dale Mooney, FSC, who has served with wisdom, compassion, and tireless dedication. His years of ministry have strengthened the school’s foundations and uplifted generations of students.
As the school moves forward, Dunne’s leadership promises continued fidelity to Lasallian values, with renewed vision and deep roots in the community.
