Who are Young Lasallian Professionals?

Young Lasallian Professionals are the present and future of the Lasallian mission. Typically aged 26 to 35, Young Lasallian Professionals include Brothers, professionals, alumni, high school students, collegians, and Lasallian Volunteers. YLP is an international movement, promoted by the International Council of Young Lasallians (ICYL) and the Regional Council of Young Lasallians (RCYL), keeping young professional adults engaged in the Lasallian mission through faith sharing, service with the poor through education, and community building.

VEGA

VEGA is an acronym from the Italian words Vedere, Giudicare, Agire–“to see,” “to judge,” and “to act.” VEGA is a Formation experience for young professionals (ages 22-35) working in our ministries who have not had prior Lasallian formation. This Formation program is a life-giving opportunity that will help these young professionals identify as Young Lasallians who embrace the mission and charism of St. John Baptist de La Salle. By the end of the week, participants will seek to associate with one another, the greater Lasallian Institute and the De La Salle Christian Brothers.
