Our Governance
Governance of the Midwest District is guided by Brother Visitor and supported the District Council and Ministry Council. Each Council has a critical role in supporting the lives of the Brothers and Ministries for the District.
Meet the Brother Visitor and the District Council
The Brother Visitor, nominated by the Brothers and appointed by the Superior General, is "guarantor of the unity and vitality of the District”. The Brother Visitor is at the service of his Brothers, ready to listen to them and remaining in close contact with them. He cares about their vocation and ties to promote close cooperation between them, to help them carry out their mission more effectively in all their apostolic works.
Our Ministry Council
Created in 2023, the Ministry Council includes Brothers and Partners who represent the District on the Boards of Directors/Trustees of the ministries. These representatives embody the presence of the Visitor, the District Council, and the Superintendent of Lasallian Education. They serve at the Visitor's discretion, providing updates on their ministries, and discussing current and future concerns.
