Patrick William Dunn was born one of four children of Max and Marie Weimer Dunn on September 28, 1921, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Patrick attended De La Salle High School in Minneapolis and during his sophomore year on February 6, 1937, he entered the Juniorate at Glencoe, Missouri. He entered the Novitiate in June of 1939, and received the robe in August, and the name of Brother Junius Dominic. He did his undergraduate work at St. Mary's College in Winona and received his B.S. in biology. He was assigned at St. Mel's in Chicago, 1943-49; De La Salle in Chicago, 1949-1950; and as Sub-Director of the Scholasticate and instructor in Biology in 1950. He remained there until 1953 when he was assigned to Memphis and then in 1959 he was appointed Director General of Glencoe. In 1962-63 he returned to De La Salle and 1963-65 he taught at Lewis University. Brother Dominic obtained his M.S. from DePaul and did graduate work at Notre Dame and in 1965 he returned to Memphis where he remained until his death twenty-two years later at age sixty-six of leukemia, having been a De La Salle Christian Brother for forty-nine years.
