Br. Junianus

Jean Cazaux was born in 1832 at D'Ossun, France, and entered the novitiate at Toulouse in 1843 and the age of eleven. He taught in France and in South America from 1848 to 1863, when he came to the United States. He was assigned as Director of the school at Mora, New Mexico, and also taught at the school in Santa Fe. Brother Junianus taught in San Francisco before returning to France where he spent the remainder of his life teaching English and where he died at age seventy-one, having been a De La Salle Christian Brothers for forty-nine years.
