Br. Julius Paschal

Otto and Louise Pacholl gave birth to the youngest of their three sons, John Joseph, on August 10, 1935, in St. Paul, Minnesota. John attended Cretin High School from 1950 to 1954, when in June he entered the Novitiate at Glencoe, Missouri. He received the habit and religious name of Brother Julius Paschal on August 30, 1954. He received his B.A. degree from St. Mary's College in Winona and was assigned to teach at St. George High School in Evanston, Illinois, from 1958 to 1962. In 1962 he as assigned to Christian Brothers College in St. Louis, Missouri, and the following year was assigned to Xavier High School in Appleton, Wisconsin, as the District split. Four years later he was assigned to De La Salle High School in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where he was Assistant Principal. One year later he was assigned to Pacelli High School in Stevens Point, Wisconsin, and in 1969 he was assigned to Lincoln Hall in New York, to work with delinquent boys. Due to illness, Brother John Pacholl was transferred to Cretin High School in 1976. He died at Apple Valley Health Care Center in Minnesota at age fifty-two, having been a De La Salle Christian Brother for thirty-three years.
