Anthony Gajewski received his B.A. at Lewis University in Romeoville, Illinois in 1980 and was assigned to Montini Catholic High School that same year to complete his student teaching. The same year he was assigned to De La Salle Institute in Chicago to complete his practice teaching. In 1981 he entered the National Novitiate Community at Windsor, Ontario, Canada. Upon completion of his Novitiate year he was assigned again to Montini Catholic where he spent the next six years before being assigned to St. Patrick High School in 1988. In 1994 he received a leave of absence. He returned to the Brothers in 2000 to live in the Oak Park Community for a year before being assigned to the St. Joseph Community in Westchester. In 2002 he moved to the Westmont North Community where he continued his many years of struggling with a variety of health issues. He died in his sleep on July 30 at the age of forty-eight, having been a De La Salle Christian Brother for twenty-seven years.
