Br. Stephen Eibert

Brother Stephen Eibert, 87, died on Saturday, June 2,2018 at Ave Maria Health Center in Memphis, TN. A De La Salle Christian Brother for 69 years, he was born William J. Eibert, son of William and Veronica(Ksiazek) Eibert in St. Paul, MN. He attended Cretin H.S. and later earned a BS and a MA from Saint Mary’s University in Winona, MN. In 1949 he entered the novitiate of the Brothers in Glencoe, MO, and professed his first vows the following year. He professed his final vows in 1956 in Beaver Island, MI. During his years as an educator he taught in Evanston, IL; Minneapolis, MN; and St. Paul, MN. He was assistant principal at schools in Minneapolis and in Appleton, WI. He taught at Christian Brothers University in Memphis from 1989 to 1999when he retired. Recently he lived on the CBU campus at Lambert Hall.
