Br. Richard Geimer

Brother Richard Geimer, FSC died on January 29, 2025, at Rainbow Hospice Ark .  A De La Salle Christian Brother for 71 years, he was born Richard Lawrence Geimer on March21, 1935, to Nicholas Charles and Violet Hazel (Rundgren) Geimer in Chicago, IL.  He received his Ph.D. in Education from St. Louis University in 1977. Brother Richard taught and administered at Lasallian schools in Illinois, Texas, Missouri, and Tennessee. He is survived by his sisters-in-law, Veronica Geimer of Skokie, IL; Mary Lou Geimer of Pacifica, CA; and niece, Debbie Renaud of Elmwood Park, IL; and the De La Salle Christian Brothers. He was preceded by his parents and his brothers, Brother Nicholas, Donald, Albert, Leonard and Roger and his sister, Patricia Geimer.  

Visitation, at Sancta Alberta Chapel on the campus of Lewis University, Friday, February 7, 2025, between 10:00 and 11:00 am. immediately followed by Mass of Christian Burial. Interment at Resurrection Cemetery, Romeoville, Illinois.
