Born in Chicago in 1939, Brother Raphael attended St. Mel High School in Chicago for a time before entering the juniorate in 1953.  He completed his novitiate in Glencoe, Missouri, made his first vows in 1957, and his perpetual profession in 1963.  He his obtained B.A. and M.Ed. from St. Mary’s College (now University) in Winona, Minnesota.  Brother Raphael started teaching at Lewis University in Romeoville in 1971, and over the years he served as the Assistant Dean and the Associate Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences and as the Chair of the Mathematics/Computer Science Department.  He was an Assistant Professor in theMathematics/Computer Science Department. Services have been held. Memorials preferred to the Christian Brothers of the Midwest, 7650 S.County Line Road, Burr Ridge, IL 60527.
