Br. Justin Ephrem

Little is known of the life of Brother Justin Ephrem. He was born in Ireland, the son of Owen and Rose Goslin English and entered the Novitiate on March 19, 1880, at Carondelet, Missouri. Bernard received the habit of the Brothers on April 15, 1881. In August 1881 he was assigned to St. Lawrence School in St. Louis, Missouri, and in October of that same year he was assigned to Christian Brothers College in Memphis, Tennessee. He died at the age of twenty-three of a recurring childhood heart ailment on January 21, 1882, in only his second year as a De La Salle Christian Brother.
