Gerald Lecuyer (Brother Henry Baldwin, FSC), son of Armand Lecuyer and Antoinette Rivard Lecuyer, was born May 10, 1931, in Bourbonnais, Illinois.  His sister Theresa Lecuyer Raymond and brother Jim Lecuyer predeceased their brother.  Gerald attended Notre Dame Elementary and Saint Patrick High Schools in Bourbonnais. He earned a bachelor’s degree at Loyola University in Chicago before entering the De La Salle Christian Brothers’ Novitiate in 1953 in Glencoe, MO and received the habit in August of1953 and religious name Brother Henry Baldwin. He earned master’s Degrees from St. Mary’s University in Winona, MN, George Peabody College in Nashville, TN, and Immaculate Conception Seminary in Mahwah, NJ.   Brother Henry taught at St. Patrick High School and St. Paul Shared Time School in Chicago, Lourdes High School in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, Bishop Kelley High School in Tulsa, OK, and Christian Brothers High School in Memphis where he was Librarian. He was Principal and Director at Christian Brothers College High School in St. Louis  from 1963 to 1969.  He was Librarian at St. Mary’s University in Winona, Aquinas Institute in St. Louis, and University of St. Mary of the Lake in Mundelein, IL.  In 2008 Brother Henry returned to CBHS in Memphis to spend his retirement years.  He moved to Ave Maria Home February 23, 2323,and it was from there he entered eternity March 16, 2025.  His care at Ave Maria was excellent!  A Memorial Mass for Brother Henry Baldwin will be April 29, 2025, 4:00 p.m., in the Chapel of Christian Brothers High School in Memphis.  The celebrant and homilist will be longtime friend of Brother Henry…Father Tom Lindner …of the Diocese of La Crosse, Wisconsin.
