Br. Richard Thaddeus
Camille Perreault was born at St. Henri, Masouche, Canada, on April 3, 1845, and entered the Novitiate at Montreal on October 8, 1864, at age nineteen. There he received the habit on December 8, 1864, and the religious name of Brother Richard Thaddeus. His tour of duty took him to Pass Christian, Mississippi, 1870; St. Joseph's School, New Orleans, Louisiana, 1870; Baton Rouge, Louisiana, 1871, where he taught classes for blacks; St. Mary's Academy, New Orleans, 1872-75, St. Louis, 1975. He returned to Canada to teach until he retired in 1918. Brother Richard Thaddeus died at age seventy-seven, having been a De La Salle Christian Brother for fifty-eight years.
