Br. Leo of Jesus
James Hoey served in 1858 in Albany and Syracuse, New York. He was assigned in 1869 to St. Joseph, Missouri, and later became Director of St. Patrick's School in St. Louis, Missouri. Brother Leo, as he was known, became director of St. Mary's in New Orleans. He died at the age of forty-eight, having been a De La Salle Christian Brother for nineteen years.
