Marcel LeBlanc was born in Canada in 1827 and at the age of twenty-four entered the Novitiate in Montreal in 1851 where he received the habit and the religious name of Brother Daniel. In 1852 Brother Dan was one of four Brothers sent to Bay St. Louis in Mississippi, to form the community for Our Lady of the Gulf School. He was the third member of the community to die of the yellow fever in less than a month.
Honor a Brothers’ Legacy and support the Lasallian Mission today
Remember the Brothers who dedicated their lives to serving in our schools, educating the youth, and stewarding the Lasallian Mission for over 300 years. A gift in remembrance honors their vocation and gives the ultimate gift to today’s students.
