Br. Liberius Stanislaus
Wenceslaus Ruzicka was born on June 20, 1897, in St. Louis, Missouri, where at age sixteen he sought admission to the Novitiate at La Salle Institute on November 6, 1913. There, a month later, on December 26th he received the habit and the religious name of Brother Liberius Stanislaus. In December of 1914 he was assigned to Pocantico Hills in New York but only remained a year before being reassigned to Christian Brothers College in St. Joseph, Missouri. He fell ill during an influenza epidemic and died at age twenty-one, having been a De la Salle Christian Brother for only five years.
