Brother Maurice earned his BA from St.  Mary’s College in Winona, Minnesota, in 1946.   In later years he earned his MA from St. Louis University, an MPS and  an MA, both from Loyola University in Chicago.  During his years as an educator, he taught  in Chicago at St. Mel High School, St. Patrick High School and at De La Salle  High School.  He also taught at St.  George High School in Evanston, Illinois, and St. Joseph High School in  Westchester, Illinois.  He served as Provincial  and Auxiliary Provincial of the Chicago District from 1966 to 1972.  Over the years, at different times, he was  also a member of the Brothers’ formation team, community director, and  associate director of Lasallian Volunteers.   From 1987 to 1990 he was called again to serve as Auxiliary  Provincial.  In 1993 he became  Healthcare Coordinator and served for seven years in that position.  He retired in 2003 and moved to  Resurrection Life Center in 2008.  He  died at age eighty-five, having been a De La Salle Christian Brother for  sixty-six years.
