John  Cusack was born on April 25, 1834, in Cappa, Ireland.  He entered the Novitiate in Montreal in  1858 at age fourteen.  There he  received the habit and religious name of Brother Constantian.  His first teaching assignment was to St.  Mary's Academy in New Orleans, Louisiana.   He died there at age twenty-seven.
