Antoine Frisch was born in Niederzissen, Prussia, on February 2, 1839. He entered the Novitiate on February 22, 1852, in Montreal, Canada. In December of 1852 he received the habit and the religious name of Brother Cadoc. In 1854 he was assigned in Philadelphia and in 1861 and again in 1864 in New York. In 1862 we find him in Toronto teaching and in 1863 he was Sub-Director of the Novitiate in Montreal. His tour of duty also includes assignments in: Baltimore as Sub-Director in 1866; St. Joseph in New Orleans, Louisiana, in 1869; Director of St. Malachy in St. Louis, Missouri, 1875, 1879 and again in 1886; Sub-Director of Christian Brothers College in St. Louis, 1877; Sub-Director of St. Patrick's School in Chicago, Illinois, 1878; Director of St. John's in Chicago in 1885; Director of St. Vincent's in St. Louis in 1887, 1889, and again in 1893 as a teacher; Feehanville, Illinois, in 1889; Christian Brothers College in Memphis, Tennessee, 1891 and again in 1894 to retire. Brother Cadoc transferred to the District of Baltimore in 1895 and died there in 1909 at age seventy, having been a De La Salle Christian Brother for fifty-seven years.
