Montini Catholic High School in Lombard, IL celebrates the International Lasallian Days for Peace through out the whole school. Every department did something in relation to peace during this month.
The foreign language classes recited different types of poems in their respective languages.
Students in the computer classes designed a mural of the famous peacemakers.
The art classes created the peace symbol with flowers and words related to peace and hope.
The science class created pictures of the environment that showed peace. Lastly, other classes held discussions about how peace can be achieved or what peace looks like to them.
For the last two weeks, the school day began with a reflection of Bro. Alvaro’s speech that call us to peacemaker for children of the world. The students came together to form a cross and observe the moment of silence at 9:05 and were led in the ILDP prayer. It was a powerful moment of unity for Lasallians everywhere, as well as our school community.
