On October 7, San Miguel School Chicago, in partnership with St. Michaels the Archangel Parish, held a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the grand opening on the San Miguel Community Center, located at 47 Street in the Back of the Yards neighborhood.

The opening of the Community Center was established in response to an expressed need in the area. Throughout the year, San Miguel School will host youth sports programs, arts and activities, events adult education classes, and much more. Local organizations are also encouraged to use the space to provide community outreach and initiatives.

Former Notre Dame football player Nik Rodriguez and former Ohio State football strength coach Cam Paulson helped raise $75,000 to support the completion of the project.

The opening of the center was featured on WGN. To view the full article and video, click here.
